Chris Downs is the founder of Tube, an Atlanta-based boutique specializing in design-driven post-production. Over a career spanning 26 years, Chris has built Tube into a staple of the Atlanta creative community, located in the vibrant Old Fourth Ward. His leadership is rooted in a deep appreciation for the “craft” of the edit, where high-end design meets seamless technical execution.

A multi-instrumentalist and composer, Chris’s professional life has always been underscored by his love for music. While he previously recorded with his band The Old Fourth (notably the 2011 album Dogs and Hens), his current creative focus is a technical homecoming: the re-release of his 1995 solo album, Other. By leveraging AI to modernize the original recordings, Chris is exploring how emerging technologies can breathe new life into vintage artistic works.

Chris is a frequent voice in the industry, having been featured in Post Magazine and Creative Mornings. He remains an active mentor through the Student/Mentor Connect Program and has lectured at top-tier institutions, including SCAD and the University of Alabama. At home, he balances his technical pursuits with a love for his 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL, sous-vide cooking, and life in Atlanta with his wife, daughter, and their dog, Delilah.
